Can someone tell me step by step on how can i make up my own cubic expression problem. please use the formula and give detail, dont just tell me to plug in numbers.How can you make up a cubic expression problem by your self?
Nobody can be sure just what it is you are asking here, but maybe it is something like this.
You want the answers to be -2, 3 and 7.
Write out (x + 2)(x - 3)(x - 7) - notice the reversed signs - and multiply it all out. When I do that, it comes to:
x^3 - 8x^2 + x + 42
Now the problem you have just made up, knowing the answers, is:
For what values of x is x^3 - 8x^2 + x + 42 = 0?
