How do you get very black eyes using make-up?

I need advice on how to use my eye make-up so my eyes become very black and defined by using eyeliner etc. Any advice and step-by-step guide would be much appreciated. :)How do you get very black eyes using make-up?
use a black liquid eyeliner and trace close to your lash line on the top. fix any mistakes w/ a q-tip. then trace a precise line with a sharpened black eyeliner pencil on the bottoms. your liquid liner should be dry by now, so take a black powder eyeshadow and trace over the line making the line fuller and smudge upwards it a little with your ring finger. then trace under your eyes with the same shadow. curl your lashes. use mascara that defines and volumizes your lashes, like covergirl lashblast mascara, and put 2-3 coats on your top lashes and 1 coat on your bottom lashes. wait for the mascara to dry and run through your lashes with a lash brush to take away any clumps. How do you get very black eyes using make-up?
well i put on a TON of eyeliner before i go to bed and mascara. when i wake up some of it has worn away. then i wipe the streak marks away (but u can keep it on if you want) and sorta rub your eyes lightly so it has sorta a darker appereance around your eyes. then perfect your eyeliner around your eyes (cake it on if you would like)(also you can put it all around). and it'll make your eyes noticeable
I usually take a light and put the fire on my eyeliner for a few seconds or so. It will drip some but not to badly. Make sure that it isn't too hot before putting it on. I hope that this helps. Have a good day
well you get a brush, apply on black eyeshadow then if you want line your lids [black or whatever] and some mascara. then just underline in white so you'll get a gothic look, if thats wat ur aiming for.
lots of eyeliner and mascara and dark eyeshadow!

  • Where can i order a plastic doll for make up tryouts?

i work for maybeline new york and i need a place to find a plastic doll face, human sized. Anyone know where I can order them? They kinda look like those you see in clothes stores!Where can i order a plastic doll for make up tryouts?
I got mine from my makeup school. She's named Daria on the box. I can't seem to find her online but you can call The Westmore Academy and order her via the phone, (818) 562-6808. They'll mail her to you. She's one of the most realistic mannequin heads i've used for makeup practice. You can also practice on blank paper faces or friends. The problem with practicing on mannequins and paper is that makeup reacts with the skins ph so you wont' get a true color and texture representation if you don't use a live model. Even if you can get a child to let you apply makeup on them it's better practice than using a mannequin or a paper face.

Can an employer require an employee to wear make up and fix their hair?

With fixing hair I mean it just cannot be put up in a clip. I work in an apartment complex office and was told by my manager that I have to wear make up everyday and fix my hair everyday. Is this considered discrimination or is it legal practice? Thanks! Also was told to take my tounge ring out. Can they require this too? Thanks Again!!Can an employer require an employee to wear make up and fix their hair?
Yes they can. I know a guy who managed a Hooters. Girls had to have their hair down, wear make-up, and be ';photo ready'; at all times. Can an employer require an employee to wear make up and fix their hair?
If you have a job dealing face to face with the public, then to some extent they can, but there are limits. I don't know what the limits are exactly, but they don't always make sense. A clown obviously can't object to having hair and make-up in a certain fassion, but there are several cases where people with other jobs have successfully sued over this. There was a case of a waitress in Hooters who sued to be allowed to wear pants instead of shorts. That one seems odd, as that's the whole point of Hooters, but I guess Hooters pretends they are a family restaurant, not a strip club, so they lost the case. There have been cases of people successfully suing when they were fired over their weight as receptionists. There were also cases against all the major airlines in the US when they used to have weight requirements. Now they require you to be able to move easily down the aisle and opperate and fit easily through the escape hatches, which is much more closely tied to the job than the old requirements.

In India, they have a major case with their airlines right now over women being suspended for failing to meet strict weight requirements. The airlines won the last round, but its being appealed to their supreme court.

Contact your state bar association or the ACLU to talk to a lawyer who can tell if what, if any, options you may have. It's generally free to just have that initial consultation.

I would guess making you remove the tounge ring would be fine (as long as you wear it just as jewelry and not for any religious or cultural purpose), making you wear your hair in a professional manner is probably fine, but a little more grey. The make-up I would guess could be a problem. Keep in mind, these are all guesses. I'm not a lawyer yet and I've never studied this area of law anyway. Call a lawyer for the actual laws in your jurisdiction.
wearing make up and putting your hair up I don't think so.. But some ';professional'; jobs you cannot wear piercings .Unless the job had ';Requirements'; and you are not full filling them. and your management can fire you or write you up.. Its like working for hooters and you no longer wanting to wear the orange shorts and look sexy ..you want to wear green shorts and look plain jane.
See if you can get a doctors note excusing you from wearing makeup if it bothers you that much. But, try to look well kept! Keeping your hair brushed and yourself maintained is important for business. It is easy to forget when working in a casual setting. If you look like your ready to take a nap or do chores than you need to step it up a little.
If you are working with the public then yes, you can be told to present a certain image. However, you shouldn't have to wear makeup if you don't want to. If your boss is male, does HE wear makeup? Unless you look like Freddy Krueger, I don't see why it would be an issue anyway.

Ultimately though it might be easier to find a different job than fight this one.
they apparently can...... with piercings it's very common to get told to not wear them especially if you work where customers will see you.

it's sick but it's always been that way. women can get fired as air hostesses when they're too old..women have always always been judged on looks and figures in the work place rather their ability to work.
Make-up, no, as some people are allergic to it. Looking presentable and professional, yes. If you got the tongue ring after being hired they can request you to remove it. All depends on if you need the job or your personal looks. Any employer can find a reason to fire you.
Yep. Most companies that work in sales with the public..... want to portray a professional image. Clipped hair, a bare face and a tongue ring are fine after hours and on the weekends, but it reduces your professionalism in the workplace and to potential lessees.
They can't do that, but it's routine and proper for them to make it a condition of employment. So you have the right to be unkempt and unemployed, but if you want the job, you have to comply. Ultimately, it's your choice.
i'm not positive about the make-up... ti'd make for a close court case i can say that much...

but from expreince they have every right to tell you what to do with your hair.... whether it's putting it in a bun or shaving your face.
The 9th circuit court of appeals had a recent case involving Harrah's casino grooming regulations and the court found no law prohibited such rules, even though they were different for men and women. The rules included make-up, hair and other things.
Yes--your boss is trying to maintain a professional office, and requiring you to look like you work there and not at the local used record store is his prerogative.
They can require you to look a certain way. If you dont keep up with appearences, then you could be hurting the company.
It depends what you are doing? If you work as a chef then you must by law cover your head, lest hair falls in the food.
You are representing the company and are expected to present a certain image.
It all depends on the laws in your state.

How to do something different with my eye make up?

Any fantastic tips? I've been doing my eye make up the same way and I'm so bored with it. My eyes are my favorite feature so I like to make them stand out. I'm really tan with bluish green eyes if that helps at all. Thanks :]How to do something different with my eye make up?
you could apply yur regular eyeshadow first

(try a type of dark green)

then use one of those liquid eyeliners. i use

the black one from Kat Von D.s collection

use it only on the top and do alittle swoop past your

eye on the sides. also try using a white shadow and

do a highlight right under your eyebrows

go with a bright green in the corners, be the nose, and have it turn into a darker color like blue on the edges. or go half blue smudged into purple byt the nose. or smoky grey eye

What is the best way to clean posh make-up brushes?

i just recently got a set of posh make-up brushes. is there any certain way i should clean them or any certain product that works best to clean them. or any that you recommend using. What is the best way to clean posh make-up brushes?
makeup brushes are treated like real hair. (ex the kabuki brushes and face brushes) rinse the brushes under warm water. then squeeze your normal shampoo in the palm of your hand just a little. then swirl the brush in it and rinse with warm water. and let them air dry. you will see how much makeup comes out of the brush. What is the best way to clean posh make-up brushes?
Well I've never seen a ';posh'; makeup brush but my MAC ones I clean like this follow this routine for each brush

Okaii so ur going to wet ur brush a little normal tap water is fine then put some hair shampoo on the palm of ur hand like a nickel size is good then just move ur brush in a circular motion {rinse wen needed}till the water on ur palm is clear then press the water out of ur brush andd shape it to how it was before then lay it flat to dry overnight DO NOT STAND IT UP bc then it can ruin the glue from the base of ur brush there are also some videos on youtube on how to clean ur brushes try panacea81 ';lauren luke'; she's great hope I helped
you can clean them with baby wash or you can click on these links he shows you how to wash them and how to make your own brush cleaner.

You could lay them in make-up remover for about 10mins.

    I think that would help.

    :DDD
Use a damp paper towel or cloth and just wipe them off. You could even use makeup remover.

What can I use as primer for my make up?

Can I use maybe liquid foundation as a primer?

    I'm broke at the moment,

and my mother hates spending 435854687489567$ on freakin' make up?

Any good ideas? What can I use as primer for my make up?
A good moisturizer. I like Cetaphil's face moisturizer and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. They run from 5-10 dollars. What can I use as primer for my make up?
Primer is what preps your skin for your make up and foundation. So your foundation would not be used as a primer.

I like Korres' primer - a lot goes a long way and it does not have that slippery texture that some other primers have. Smashbox Light (not the original) and Make Up Forever's primers are some other favorites of mine. If you are not wanting to spend the money on a primer in addition your cosmetics try a foundation that stays on really well. Matte ones tend to stay on good. I like Make Up Forever's Velvet Matte foundation also Estee Lauder's Double Wear Foundation. I hope that helps!
Airbrushing your make up is a good choice and easier than most people think. The Dinair airbrushing kit is the best for primers because it comes with everything you need, it is user friendly and it comes with an instructional DVD. The application with Dinair is easy and the products is comes with is of high quality. You can check several products in http://www.palazah.com
I wouldn't the whole point of primer is to make-up the foundation last longer. So a foundaton wouldn't work. But if your thinking about the eye then I would still use eye primer. I just don't think it will work. It will leave a thick layer and everything! I would just keep using Primer Potion from Urban Decay ($17), Shadow Insurance ($17), or this weird one from Revlon ($7). If its for your face just use ur mostrizer.

    Hope this helps! =D
You can use a little bit of liquid foundation for it, or a bit of moisturizer. Concealer even works. As long as it's slightly sticky so the eye makeup has something to stick to.
use moisturizer from clinique. its good and affordable.

Is there such a thing as scholarships for make-up schools?

im planning on going to a make-up school, and ive been looking for scholarships and stuff for it, but the only ones i find are for like...universities, and institutes and things like that. Make-up school isnt as expensive, but still, if there are some for makeup students, it would be wonderful. Is there such a thing as scholarships for make-up schools?
there is financial aid available. nobody will give scholarship thought. you should go to cosmetical school, where you'd learn make up too, but you will be more respected as a professional.

I do this make up everyday. but I only do eyes, so:

    1. Apply black eye shadow to cover you entire top eye lid, and a little more, almost like a wing, it looks like a slanted half oval. If you want to wear bright colors cover the entire top lid evenly then go up to the eyebrow getting lighter the closer you get to the eyebrow.

    2. Take you eyeliner and draw line that is not to thick on your top lid

    3. Apply eyeliner on the bottom lide, slightly thinner on the bottom lid

    4. Apply masquera(sp?) to top and bottom eyelashes (optional)

    5. Apply light pink, or beat red lipstick or lipgloss.

6 Use a good blush or concealer your skin tone to cover up acne, redness, or to even out the color of you skin.

    7. Admire awesomness in a mirror

    8.Done (or show off)

    Hope I helped!

What five things should a husband do to make up to get back together with his wife?

It is a friend of mine. What five things should a husband do to make up to get back together with his wife?
    1) Tell her that her needs (emotional, spiritual, %26amp; physical) are more important than yours. And that you will do everything you can to fulfill her needs. **trust me on this...I am a woman

    2) Tell her that you love her more than the air you breathe. And that she is your everything.

    3) Let her know how much she brings into your life (joy, love, warmth, happiness, and friendship)

    4) Let her know that ';you miss your best friend';...which should be her anyway.

    5) Show her, with all sincerity, all the above stated....Actions speak louder than words...and mean more.

Good luck...I wish your friend the best. What five things should a husband do to make up to get back together with his wife?
Be totally honest with his wife (truthfully answer any and all of her questions).

    Acknowledge his behavior and/or misbehavior.

See that he is 100 percent responsible for all his actions/ reactions/ inactions.

Immediately and completely STOP whatever he was doing to become estranged from his wife (so, for example, no more contact of any kind -- ever -- if he was involved with someone else).

Commit wholeheartedly to his marriage, working to rebuild trust and intimacy and doing so with professional (couples) counseling.
    Here are 4 mind games:

#1 - Ignore your ex. There is nothing that will trigger the emotions of your ex more than ignoring his/her attempts to reach you. Instantly you become mysterious, and your ex will wonder what you're doing that is better than talking with them.

#2 - Date a friend of your ex. Is there anything that could get your ex more hot under the collar than dating a friend? Word will get around and will get your exes mind spinning.

#3 - Change your wardrobe, your scent, looks, and get active. This one might fall into the more general advice category, but if you make an effort to change things up, you become more attractive, and you'll change the perception of yourself that you send out, especially helpful when you run into your ex.

#4 - Thank your ex for the break up! A great piece of reverse psychology. You're sending out the message that you are grateful for the breakup, that you learned a lot from it, and are better off. Your ex will have a hard time not having a strong emotional reaction to this.

These are just four tips, there are tons more. If you're a guy like I am, there's one tricky guide in particular filled with this stuff.
    1) Tell her you're sorry.....as big and bold as you can (play/sing her a song, send a note with flowers, candy or something else that she likes).

    2) Show her you're sorry. Do something that you don't lke doing, but that she likes for you to do.

    3) Tell her again

    4) Show her again

    5) Beg.
    1. Be patient. Let her have some space to think

    2. Let her know how he feels

    3. Be there and be ready when she is.

    4. If you've done something wrong apologize genuinely. Do it well and move on. Don't go overboard with presents and garbage either it just looks needy as well as repetitive like hearing im sorry im sorry im sorry over and over again completely loses meaning just like I lost you for the middle of this one ;)

    5. LISTEN. When you talk listen to what she wants and needs not what you want or what you think she wants etc and DO IT actions speak louder than words.

    not in any particular order.
    Go to counseling with her.

Do whatever it takes to regain her trust.

Prove to her that you can be faithful and truthworthy again.

    Treat her like a Queen.

Own up to everything wrong he has done.
Depends on the situation, really, but if he's wronged her he must demonstrate that he understands what he did that was wrong and he must show genuine remorse and must show good faith to not do it again.
    Act like a jerk.

    Act like a jerk.

    Act like a jerk.

    Act like a jerk.

    Act like a jerk.

Women LOVE that. You see, a jerk is ';confident';.
if cheating was involved there is no apology good enough and they should not be taken back.. other wise say sorry... take them to the fanciest dinner... rub there back.. give lots of fourplay to show u care
    Forget it.

she doesn't do it herself. makeup artists and professional hair stylists spend hours on it. so unless you're willing to hire them, you won't get your hair and makeup looking exactly like hers.
she gets professional people to do it with the money she makes from making little girls obsessed with her and singing horribly. THe music video was reallly bad but she actually looked kinda good.

    I just waste people.

What do you think of the overuse of make-up by men in the 21st century?

This stems from a debate at work and I'd much appreciate a little input form the community.

Thanks in advance. What do you think of the overuse of make-up by men in the 21st century?
    Lol, what?

What about back then when men used to powder themselves and everything even. And then way before that when they used tribal markings and things...that was sort of makeup.

I think men are actually underusing makeup these days.

How old where you when you started wearing make-up?

How old where you when you started wearing make-up and what age do you think it is appropriate to start? How old where you when you started wearing make-up?
im 17 and the only times i wear makeup is when im in a play, or when im on a big date (which hasn't happened yet)How old where you when you started wearing make-up?
I started wearing makeup at during the middle of the school year last year, which was when I was 13.

I'm 14 now, but 15 in about 3 months, so it's probably been a year since i've been wearing makeup, i gradually increased it though, so I didn't start wearing a whole bunch in the beginning.

I think 13 is a pretty good age, but only mascara, and lip gloss. And then when high school starts, you might want to wear some, but it is absolutely not required to.

I know girls that are so pretty without makeup, and basically what i'm saying is that once you start wearing makeup, you look different without it.
I started when I was 12. I think make-up isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Not all of us are born with perfect skin and features, and it really makes me feel prettier when I'm wearing it. Plus, I absolutely love experimenting and learning new techniques and looks.
i was 13 when i started wearing make-up to school but i would put it on the bus and wash it off before my mom got a good look at me, she didn't let me were make-up until my freshman year of highschool. personally i think 13 or 14 is a good age.
I started with mascara in 5th grade and gradually adding things. I am now in 8th grade and wear foundation, eye liner, shadow, and mascara. I also wear blush and concealer.
I started wearing makeup when I started high school.

I don't think its necessary to wear makeup before high school, or even at all, but if you'd like to, I'd say 9th grade, or maybe even 8th.

    But I agree, I wish I hadn't started wearing makeup, because when I don't.. I feel so self-conscious about how I look. =/
i started wearing some gloss at twelve, at thirteen, some mascara and gloss, and at 14, i wore some more face product like powder, blush, lip tint.
    11

but makeup not only covers the skin but also prematurely ages it so yes it minimizes the flaws but in the long run it's better just not to use any.
I started wearing make up when i was 12.

i think its a pretty reasonable age but it really depends on the family
    11 :)

But i did it horribly . I didn't do it good , until i hit middle school at about 13 , and my older sister showed me how to put it on . aha .
    I started when I was 14

I think this age is about appropriate. definitely not pre-teen. Of course, nobody HAS to ever start wearing make up.
9th grade... and i don't think people should wear make up.

i feel ugly without it, i wish i would've never started wearing it.
    i was 14 (8th grade)

maybe its appropriate to wear makeup around 14 15?
i started at 17 when my sister was bored and decided to pamper me.
    18, i was a late bloomer
    11
    13
    13
    12
    12-13
Never yet anyways well only a little cover up on my zits which is maybe once a month and Im 15
    twelvee ;)
hmm i started wearing make up around 12 or 13? i woul dhave sooner but my parents would s**t a cow
when i was twelve i started wearing lipgloss

i dont want to cover my face with it though
    about 15 i think
    @ 10-11...about 7th grade is when i would let mine...when i have them..lol

What's the best way for America to make up for slavery?

I think it is a subconscious guilt that whites have. They feel that (and rightly so) that all that Black people, especially in this country, are constantly looking to pay them back for our condition. But we know we are not going to do anything to them, we will turn on one another first. That is historical. It seems it is easier to take our frustrations on those who are closer to us, those who we can actually touch, whether it is family or just someone on the block. WE have a low tolerance for each other. What's the best way for America to make up for slavery?
There's nothing to make up for. The ancestors of most Americans (including most whites) had no involvement in the slave trade. Further, slavery ended one hundred and fifty years ago. Jews started to flourish within a couple of years of the Holocaust, where their populations were decimated and they watched their own families tortured to death. Get over it.What's the best way for America to make up for slavery?
The way individuals can start is to stop acting like it didn't happen, isn't relevant, or shouldn't be talked about. There is no making up for it, because it happened and those who have died can never be brought back and the way people suffered can't be undone.

Reparations are controversial, but I don't think they're such a bad idea. Effective Affirmative Action programs should be used. The history of slavery should be taught differently and more fairly in schools.
A formal apology from the US government will be a great start!

Then every A.A. between the ages of 18-80, should write a letter to their Congress person, stating a RESOLUTION/SOLUTION to this unfortunate evil!

The solutions/resolutions should be broadcast nationally %26amp; registered US voters of ALL races should vote on them!
I will gladly give the blacks something. The freedom to go back to Africa where they belong. Today's blacks were never slaves, their ancestors were. So why should we pay them for their ancestors misery? They just have their hand out for an easy buck, as usual.
Not all whites have guilt. My family didn't arrive in America until after WWII. So why should i pay reparations? You think that there wasn't white on white racism? Try being of German decent shortly after WWII.
We see alot of blacks in the hollywood movies and in the music industry earning millions. What have they done for their fellow black people??? Shouldn't they start helping the poor blacks in starting small businesses???
I never owned any slaves and I don't owe any one anything.
Black people should get a discount on everything made of cotton
    Affirmative Action.
White people have been used as slaves in the past. Theres no need to do anything about it.
get over it, move on, %26amp; learn from our mistakes that's the best thing Americans can do.
I don't feel guilty about it...I never had a slave. My ancestors came here in the early 1800's and never had slaves. So, no guilt here!
If Americans need to make up for things our country has done that were wrong, the list would be as long as the list of businesses looking for a bailout. But if there is a question of reparations for African Americans who were enslaved, I don't think I should be part of the list, cause I have ancestors who fought in the American Civil War on the Union side. But if we are going to start handing out reparations.....

I do kind of like the answer about giving all A. A.'s a discount on everything made out of cotton. First they would have to prove that their ancestors were actually enslaved and did not just come to the USA in the 1950's to go to school, like Obama's father.

Then we can give all the Mexican Americans a discount on buying fruit and vegetables, to make up for the fact that we were paid humiliation wages for decades.

Then we have the shabby treatment given to Native Americans. They should get reparations too. And the Japanese Americans whose ancestors the USA put in concentration camps during the 1940's. And women should get extra pay to make up for wage discrimination. And men should get something for the fact that they lost a couple of years of earning ability or education while they were in the armed forces.

Nah, we are better off calling it even.
Congress already formally apologized for slavery about a year or so ago. It's a little late, but better late than never. Doesn't seem like many people heard about it.

I have no guilty subconscious about slavery. It's a very sad part of our history, but I have no relatives and/or ancestry that had anything to do with it, so I don't see why I should feel guilt. Black people were not the only people ever enslaved. Even white people of European ancestry were enslaved not only in Europe, but in America too, at one point. Just not to the degree that black people were.

There are other races and nationalities that had it much worse than the black slaves, but I don't hear them ever complaining in this day in age. There were other people who went nearly extinct from the earth, yet they manage to pick themselves up and go, and don't keep blaming modern day people for the things that happened to their people in the past.

I don't know the best way for the country to make up for it, but you can't blame people now for things from the past that no one can do about. Also remember that it was the Africans that sold out their own people to the white Europeans for profit. If it weren't for Africans selling their own people into slavery, slavery would've never got to the scale that it did in America.

  • Whats the difference between a cosmotologist and a make up artist?

does a make up artist do make up only and a cosmotologist does hair, nails etc?Whats the difference between a cosmotologist and a make up artist?
Yup, you got it. Cosmetologist does it all-Whats the difference between a cosmotologist and a make up artist?
cosmetologists need to pass exams and get licensed to perform

    makeup artists don't need anything
    Cosmotologist do everything hair,nails,makeup.
A COSMOTOLOGIST IS A HAIRDRESSER AND A MAKE UP ARTIST IS A PERSON THAT PUTS ON FACIAL MAKE UPS!!!
Just to respond to ';phataway.com'; who posted...real makeup artist DO need a license. There are many people who claim they are makeup artists because they are talented...but a real makeup artist went to school for it and has a license in it. :)
cosometologist does hair makeup and nails yes. and makeup artist only does makeup and you do need different certificates. any specific reason? i can give you more details if you are interested in those areas.

How can i get have lauren conrads make-up?

I try to do eyeliner around my whole eye, but it always turns out goth-like.

Help? How can i get have lauren conrads make-up?
she has a celebrity makeup artist. try the Mark line, she duz ads for it.How can i get have lauren conrads make-up?
It strikes me that Lauren, has her eyes lined with not only liner, but shadow, sometimes a deep purple around her eyes.

I seem to remember her with brown liner, with the shadow put on with a brush at her lash line and on top of her lid too. Her eyebrows are very dark too, so you might try just filing yours in too, with little strokes of dk brown or even with shadow.
she's coming out with a make up line
Go to google and type in how to put on make-up. how to apply make-up, make- up tips, make - up tricks/ secrets, or you could even type in how to get make-up like Lauren Conrad. If you go to Avon's website, then I'm pretty sure you can find this line of make-up that she is endorsing, or that she is the face of. I forgot the name, but I'm pretty sure they still have it.
I like using a combination of a gel and pencil eyeliner. Use a gel eyeliner (like from MAC. Love their fluidline.) on the lid. Then stretch out the lower lid to create a taut surface. Using a pencil, gently line right at the lashline. Use a smudge brush to soften the liner, then use makeup remover to remove any big smudges. Then put on plenty of mascara to finish the look.

Who does liverpool need to sell to make up for the 42m loss?

I think dossena needs to go ( he wants to anyway) , nabil el zhar and jermaine pennant.Who does liverpool need to sell to make up for the 42m loss?
42 Million Pound loss ? Man liverpool didnt recorded any loss , Liverpool had a 10 Million Pound profit after tax deductions.

Its the company of the Liverpool owners ';Kop Holdings '; that recorded a 42 Million Pound loss , so its nothing serious ,Chelsea owner Abramovich lost 3 Billion Pounds last year , will he sell the whole Chelsea squad ??? ?? NO

Liverpool will spend about 20-30 Million Pound this year.

Although we will sell but not to make up for the loss , but to get rid of the dead wood , and only dossena falls in that category.Who does liverpool need to sell to make up for the 42m loss?
Pennant is out of contract at pool, too bad for him.

Dosenna is gone. El zhar may go and probably Ngog, Voronin will also be looking out. Either Lucas or Babel is going out.
    Fernando Torres, Gerrard to Manu.
    rafael benitez
Dossena's going for what we paid for him

What in your opinion is greatest defect and drawback in mental make up of the most of Indians .?

List out defects in average but majority of Indians which has resulted in our being under aliens for very long time instead of being super power when small nations who advanced much after India could go out and colonise many nations including India ? Do we have same defects now or not ?.Pl list out defect honestly. What in your opinion is greatest defect and drawback in mental make up of the most of Indians .?
The number one reason is religion. The backward orthodoxies of Hinduism with its racist caste system and Islam which is an outdated desert religion. Another weakness is the extremely high illiteracy rate which will lead to a huge gap in wealth between the small percentage that will prosper and the vast majority that will stay stuck in abject poverty. Finally, the geographic location - abutting China and Pakistan - means that the ruling class will continue to waste a sizable part of the country's wealth on weapons and military satelites rather than investing in education and disease control. What in your opinion is greatest defect and drawback in mental make up of the most of Indians .?
Either keeping a low profile or a high profile.

What two particles make up most of the mass of a hydrogen-2 atom?

And also what is an electron configuration for an atom of chlorine in the excited state? What two particles make up most of the mass of a hydrogen-2 atom?
The nucleus of Hydrogen-2 (Deuterium) is one proton and one neutron. They make up well over 99% of the mass of the atom. What two particles make up most of the mass of a hydrogen-2 atom?
For every atom, the protons and neutrons make up the mass of the atom. This is because electrons are so minute compared to the the protons and neutrons (1/2000th of the size) that they do not have any effect on the mass of an atom.
That question you could have easily found under google, or in your textbook.

Around what age do you start wearing make up?

also...is 12 an okay age?Around what age do you start wearing make up?
i think you should start out slow, dont go loadin on the makeup at age 12. start with little stuff and as u get older u should/could add more.

and uve prolly heard this before, but ur most likely pretty without makeup, if u dont need it, dont wear it!Around what age do you start wearing make up?
yeah i think lipgloss and mascara at 11 is ok
I just turned 15 and I still don't wear makeup not even lip gloss... most makeup has a alot of chemicals in them and can ruin your skin. However I think it's okay to wear makeup at 12 although I wouldn't recommend. Start with simple makeup such as lip gloss and add more when you're older.

If you're trying to use makeup to cover acne and skin problems, try seeing the doctor first.
I started when I was twelve... but I didn't use it as much then as now.
12 is a good age.. its about when i started, just wear lipgloss, some skintoned, shimmery eyeshadow and mascara... make sure not to overdo it though
I was 12 but I had to obey some rules before wearing it. My mother made me practice putting it on first and showing her what I looked like. I didn't wear a whole bunch until these past few years and that's only because I wear more cover up to cover these damned dark circles under my eyes!!
well sweety it depends on what age your face starts looking like a discusting puss filled peperoni pizza.
my mom started off with letting me wear light gloss and just a little i mean alittle mascara at the age of 13....every year till i was about 17 i was able to add one more thing to what i can wear....i am going to be the same way with my daughter.
    day one.

---whan gramma kisses you and gets her lipstick all over your face

    age 12 is ok.

    start w/lipgloss

    and light perfume

(scented body wash %26amp; hair conditioners first)

--also, light colors of nail polish

    light eyeshadow next step

    sparkly face moisturizers

    g'luck, girl.

    you're beautiful right now!
    mostly 13 years old
I started when I was 11, and I think that 12 is an okay age, as long as you don't go overboard. The most that I wore and still wear is mascara, eyeshadow, blush, and lip gloss. But I don't wear anything else.
    My girl answers....

    15 maybe?
hi! im 12 %26amp; in 7th grade i started wearing makeup in the 5th grade . so yes 12 is an okay age but dont go overboard i wear covergirl powder sabel eyeliner brownish-black mascara eyeshadow(pinks, light colors) %26amp; lipgloss(pinks, neutrals) you dont want to look like a clown when you go out. let me know if this help :)
For a full face I say 16. At 12 I think a lipgloss is good enough.
12 is all right as long as you know how to properly remove make-up.

I started when I was 15, but I developped a routine when I got into AP US History! LOL I overslept often and usually had about five minutes to get done. Ah, time limits can do wonders!
12 is an okay age i started wearing make-up when i was 11!
12 is not okay. There doesn't need to been a little 12 year old running around in make-up looking like she is older than she really is. 16 is a better age because it is closer to 18 which is a more responsible age for wearing make-up. BUT there is nothing wrong with a little tinted lip balm or gloss and a soft color blush to pinken those cheeks.

12 is young, i'd say around 15 light make up, like foundation and light lip gloss, unless for occasions. at 12 u'd have great skin and if you dont take care of it, such as making sure u clean ur face and remove all the make up before u sleep u'd have weird spots growing on ur face. Dont think at 12 u'd want that responsibility.
Eh it doesn't matter does it? 10 year old's are wearing makeup now. I think you start wearing it when you want to or when you see eveyone start wearing it. I wore it once (I'm 16) and that stuff was awful! I don't know how people can wear it everyday but eh I'm weird. The only thing I use is chapstick ahahahaha better than my lips bleeding like last year =D
14 but it was only to cover up zits.
    yes i'm 12 and i started wearing makeup when i was 11
I think 12 is okay for a little bit of lip gloss and mascara, very light makeup! I think a trip to the clinique counter would be a good start at this age for young looking makeup tips.
When I was seven I got into lip gloss at the girl's makeup section at Walmart. The lip glosses had appealing flavors, such as cotton candy and caramel. Then as I aged, nine or ten maybe, I started trying out some mascara and blush, eye shadow maybe. I despised the mascara, it was so gooey and runny - it felt sickening! The blush and eye shadow were okay. Now at nineteen, I'm au naturel; school, parties, anything, and I still receive comments on my beauty. I think going natural looks the best, because you're just ruining your naturality when you brush on so many worthlessly expensive products. Material girls, think of it this way. You want to look good for your guy by looking trendy and having a great body, so when you put hundreds of thousands of products on, it's like you're feeding yourself unimaginably large calories!
well all my friends wear it and there 14 im 14 too but my mom dosent let me wear it until im 15
dont put make up until uni

cuz my mom never put make up til uni

    and she have little lines

    and she is like 45

she said if you put make up too early

you will regard it in the future

    and dont put too much

    too much too slutty
Young girls do not look good with makeup on. A little lip gloss is quite enough. Makeup hides beautiful skin and in teen agrivates acne by clogging pores. Eye makeup looks out of place. There is nothing more beautiful than a clean shining face on a young girl. The makeup will always be there. Enjoy your young beautiful skin.
no min age of 18 is gud cos u have tender skin at 12..so let the natural beaty flow until then
my mom used to put make-up on me when i watched her put hers on when i was about 11. i started wearing it when i was about 14. :)
Im 12 and i wear foundation, mascara, eyeshadow, and lipgloss.
I think it is a good age, just dont over do it! wear very light colors like pink, peaches, oranges, or glitter for eye shadow. For lip gloss wear clear, glitter, or very light pink. dont go black, thick eyeliner, maybe just brown or black (depending on ur hair color) mascara. You will look beautiful with or without makeup, just remember!

    have fun experimenting!

  • How can I feel comfortable with no make-up on at school?

I wear make-up everyday. I'm talking, like concealer, foundation, powder, blush, the whole nine yards.

And I always feel so fake, I don't look it, but I feel it.

But anyway, I have a pale-ish face, and my cheeks are red.

If I were darker, I would probably feel comfortable, but my mom won't let me tan, and I don't know of any good self tanners.

I've heard of tinted moisturizers, but I don't know if they would cover my cheeks.

Any tips? How can I feel comfortable with no make-up on at school?
I used to be like that as well, I just had to wear makeup every single day! I couldnt be caught dead without it! Now I'm not, since I started working full time. I think its something that you grow out of over time, and start to feel comfortable with yourself. I would recommend that you start by cutting it down bit by bit, especially with your coverup. A good moisturizer and small amounts of concealer work for most people, unless you have blemishes. If your cheeks are naturally red then you probably dont need blush anyways. Just some mascara and lip gloss and you should be good to go.

Also, Im sure you would be pleasantly surprised to hear people's reactions if they saw you without makeup.

If you do want to try a tinted moisturizer, MAC has one and its SPF15 as well. Works well for me!How can I feel comfortable with no make-up on at school?
i have really really really red cheeks and when i blush they go so red but that way a guy really knows you like him without having to tell him.

so just put eyeliner under your eyelashes and then put on mascara and eyeshadow just put on a really small bit of tinted moisturizer.

    it really looks good.
when i was at school also want to attract ppl' attention ,but do not know what to do ,i do not like make up ,cause make up will harm for our natural beautiful , i think

go to a department store and try one of the tinted moisturizers to see how it looks on u. u can also try to see how just wearing foundation all over ur face and just mascara would look on u.....

At what age should girls start wearing make-up?

I'd like a few opinions, please. At what age should girls start wearing make-up?
15 years old....but very light make up.

17 years old....they can get more creative with it.

any younger than 15 they should just be experimenting with colorful cute lipgloss. At what age should girls start wearing make-up?
Whenever you want to, as long as it's appropriate.
Lip gloss is fine at 14, but anything else I'd wait til my daughter was at least 16 plus. Take them to a professional to teach them the proper way to apply makeup. iMost dept stores will do that with a minimum purchase. Clinique is great for ';newbies';. Most young girls don't need a lot. A simple application of concealer, powder, blush, mascara and gloss is more than enough for most new makeup ';virgins'; Proper skincare knowledge is far more important than makeup application at that age. The earlier the better.

i started wearing makeup when i was 10 years old. but only lipgloss and a little mascara and im 14 now.
Well, it all depends. But I would say that girls should wear a small amount of makeup when they are around 12 or in the seventh grade. They should only wear lip GLOSS and maybe some mascara and neutral eye shadows unless it is a special occasion like a wedding and then they can be a little more made up. In High school then they can wear eyeliner, colored eyeshadow, and lipstick. Don't let them go overboard though!
Well I just started wearing make-up my freshman year. [i'm a sophmore now.] I don't wear A LOT. I wear eyeliner, mascara, foundation, and chapstick. But if I go out to a dinner, dance, or whatever I'll add eyeshadow, lip gloss, and an extra coat of mascara.

So basically it's up to you. But don't over do the make-up. You don't wanna look fake and that your hiding something. People wanna see the real you. Use make-up as just an enhancement to your natural beauty.
I think once they are enough into puberty where theyre starting to look older they could start to wear a little mascara and lipgloss then mayb some eyeliner and then go from there..see what the other girls at school are doing...and if shes ready..if shes asking for it then give her a little ...def not if shes in 6th grade or younger. id say 7th and up.
    In your 20's.

I started wearing mascara when I 18 and working.

I'm 24 and i do not wear any foundation, or anything like that.

When you are young, your skin is at it's best, why cover it up.
Well its all depends if you feel comfortable with it. I started in the middle of eighth grade, but all I wore was some eyeliner, blush ,mascara and lip gloss and sometimes concealer. That was pretty much all i need, but now that I am going into High School i want to add some eyeshadow to add some glam. It all depends on if you are comfortable with it and you dont want to look like you are wearing a mask. Try to look pretty. not fake.
i say when u start High School =]
around when they start middle school
i started at 12 in the seventh grade, and i think thats good. i kinda started a little bit late, though i did it on the first day of seventh grade, a few girls wore it in 6th
i started when i was about 11ish. but no madder when u start 2 use make-up, just b sure it looks natural so that u don't look fake
If you have good skin you do not have to wear make up generally.

Then when you start dating very light make up is good.

Sometimes the make up looks better on a clown.

I think about sixteen is the time to understand make up.Not just make up.

Color , toning. blending are essential when planning to make up.This is from guys point of view. I love my dates to look fresh . So if you over do it you will look a mess and no one will tell you.
Start off with something simple when they're about 10 or in 5th grade, which ever one you want. Just for special occasions or start with lip gloss, the basics. Then move up depending on how you see fit. Those who are ready (They don't mess around and are serious enough but not ultra serious) should start going into more complex and harder make up as soon as they can handle it. Don't go to fast, but don't go to slow.
i personally dont agree with this answer.................but around 17 18 is the best for you however, there are girls wearing makeup at as young as 12
I didnt start until 11th grade, but thats cause i was a tom boy up till then. Whenever it feels right!!! Dont worry about what everyone else is doing!
I had make up when I was about 13... my dad hated it, but my mom was the one who bought it. I think it also depends on the maturity level of the individual girl. I think 15-ish is a pretty safe age for girls to wear make up, but I wouldn't encourage them to wear a whole routine (foundation, power, liners, shadows, mascara)... I'd say let them experiment with a few things... like maybe only mascara and gloss ect... but really, what would it hurt for them to find their own make up routine? The thing to really watch out for would be to make sure that she understands that beauty is from within-- not from a tube of lipstick or pair of shoes.
well i started at the age of 13, however i feel that a girl should begin experimenting at the age of 16 and go full fledge at 17 you are considered an adult at 18, 17 is a good age.
some start as young as 12 but this affects the skin in the later years. wait till u r at least 16-18
well, im ten and i love makeup! i don't go to drastic but eye shadow colors are fun to play with and lipgloss and maybe some mascara????? also maybe a little blush! hope this helps and remember don't be afraid to play with colors!
well personally i started wearing makeup The summer i went into 6th grade so around 10 to 11 but listen if you hold these girls off to long their going 2 have all kinds of skin issues like wrinkles and sun spots BELIEVE IT OR NOT make up actually protects their face from UVB and UVA rays those are harmful sun rays that can really damage your skin

What product should I buy from sephora to make skin matte, non-oily all day...like to put on under make-up?

I have oily skin and use a powder foundation for acne by almay and it helps control it...but still, i have a coat of oil on my skin after an hour or so after putting on the makeup. I could keep applying powder, but it does not look good. What is the best sebum controlling product out there? What product should I buy from sephora to make skin matte, non-oily all day...like to put on under make-up?
I get a lot of clients with oilier skin, and have found that the best primer for oilier skin is Becca Mattifying Primer. It imparts a matte finish to oilier, shiny skin as it extends the wear of both liquid and cream makeup. It works to visibly improve the look and texture of the skin by smoothing fine lines and pores to create an even canvas for makeup. It also helps the skin retain moisture without a greasy feel.

    Why don't you also try using a liquid foundation instead. Makeup Forever makes a Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation. It is a shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation. Hides imperfections, evens out skin tone, and mattifies with a non-oily, perfectly powdered finish. The result is flawless and lasts for hours. Then top it off with their Super Matte Loose Powder. Choose either a shade that matches your skintone or the #12 universal translucent tone.';

Makeup Forever also carries a primer for oily skin (All Mat). I've just never used it. I might try it when I run out of my Becca primer. I just think you might be happier with the results from a liquid foundation. I hate the look of powder foundation. What product should I buy from sephora to make skin matte, non-oily all day...like to put on under make-up?
Primer is made for that :) Check out sue devitt or smashbox

My niece is 11 year old and is starting to wear make up?

My niece is 11years old and she started to wear clear lip gloss and LIGHT foundation to cover her blemishes and all that pre-teen problems. Is it ok for her to wear these types of makeup? Her parents do not allow her to buy any concealer. My niece is 11 year old and is starting to wear make up?
Call me old fashioned but I think that a 11 yr old little girl should be able to wear chapstick/lip gloss (no glitter or tint) %26amp; be able to wear powder (but it would not be brought to school).

If you think that a 11 yr old girl that is into makeup %26amp; hair, isn't into boys %26amp; sex... You got another thing coming. My niece is 11 year old and is starting to wear make up?
I would say it's an issue for the parents - not you.
i like http://www.free-makeup-tips.com for makeup, skin, hair tips...

hopw it may help you too...http://www.beauty-basics.net/
she is just trying to make her self look pretty for an 11 year old she is not trying to be a 21 year old wearing real make up it seams like no big deal!
    Lip Gloss...............yes

    Foundation...........no

i used to start wearing lip gloss in like the 3rd grade. I started getting my eyebrows waxed in the 5th and my mom mentioned it in 4th. so.......... maybe its OK with the eyebrows..... but definitely not foundation.
I was 9 when I started to wear make-up I only wore eye liner and blush.. There is no problem for her to wear make-up but she needs to no

that its not good to share it with her friends

and she should always wash her face.
Like the first comment I am a model and I didn't get my 1st makeup until I was 10 and it was kin tone shadow and brown mascara with some lip smackers. I mean its not like she has raccoon eyes with red lips shes just expierementing and having fun.
thats fine. its CLEAR lipgloss not red lipstick and light foundation. at least shes not wearing mascara and eyeliner :)

ps. ur not supposed to pluck your top eyebrow it ruins your natural arch
I would say it's fine but make sure she keeps it to a minimum. Makeup at an early age can cause premature wrinkling!
I think thats too early. I'm 14 and i barely wear makeup. I don't wear foundation. Only eye liner, mascara, and sometimes eye shadow. I think she should wait a while till she wears this makeup %26amp; even for her eye brows! I got my eyebrows first waxed when i was 13!
yes i dont think that those are a big deal. every girl loves lip gloss and if it makes her feel better about herself then why not? when she starts weariing heavy eyeliner at that age thats when you may want to speak to her about it
    yea that is okay! i'm a mom1
well it all depends what type of girl she is i didn't pluck out my eyebrow untill i was 15 and i only wear makeup when i go to parties...if she wears it at a young age and has it all the time her face will wrinkle faster and will look acward when shes not wearing it...tell her not to rush life...
yea it's cool. make up is fun and all girls want to look good even if they don't like nobody.
WOW I WOULD SAY THE LIP GLOSS BUT NOT THE FOUNDATION TO GROWN FOR HER AGE
    i think thats fine.
Sounds okay to me, I am a Grandma.
Let the child be! Who knows? Maybe when she grow's up she'll be a professional model. That's how most start out!
I think it's ok for her to do that. It's not like she's going for something obvious or unnatural looking. She's just covering up blemishes so she can feel better about her skin.

Also, what does ';sexual stuff' have to do with anything? o.0
that sounds exactly like me! thats wat i wore! as long as she doesnt overdo it! its good that u r concerened about ur niece but shes fine!
    oh wow

    isnt 11 a little young for make-up?

    especially foundation?

i mean im 14 and i rarely wear foundation

only if i have a dance performance or something

everyone has blemishes and i think she should like tough it out and just deal with them without makeup
your add on to the question was stupid ''she isnt interested in sexual stuff'' how random and 'open' to so many things people can think of. why would you throw that in?

How to get Liquid Cover-up make-up out of Clothes???

I dropped mY Cover Up on a new pair of Kaki's..... I tried to wash them %26amp; treat the stain %26amp; it is still on there. I have not dried them at all.

Does anyone know how to get it out?How to get Liquid Cover-up make-up out of Clothes???
According to the Good Housekeeping stain buster website, all you need is a pre-wash stain remover. I'm a fan of the Shout brand that comes with a little brush thing on top to scrub with.

If you've already tried a pre-wash stain remover, the do-it-yourself website suggests using Dawn liquid detergent since it is formulated to cut grease (or oil in this instance). Good luck! How to get Liquid Cover-up make-up out of Clothes???
Are you talking about White Out...to cover up mistakes on paper? I've never used this method before, but found it online. The link is at the bottom. Good luck!

    Step 1.

Use WD 40 liberally on both sides of the stain. Allow the WD-40 to penetrate through the stain. The stain will begin to loosen. Test by touching the stain. Small flecks of the white out should begin to come loose. Rinse thoroughly.

    Step 2.

Lay the clothing on a clean white towel. Sponge nail polish remover onto both sides of the stain. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat the application of nail polish remover and continue to rinse until the stain is removed. Rinse the stained area thoroughly.

    Step 3.

Finally, to remove any hidden traces of the stain, apply a stain stick, spray, or gel to the stained area and wash normally.
full strength liquid laundry detergent %26amp; rub it in, rinse. repeat if needed, wash as usual.

I love playing w/make up - but I don't have a degree - I'm in community college. Does anyone have any advice as to how to get a job w/say Clinique? Is there a test? How hard is it to get a make up counter job?
Most counters look for employees to have a beauty nvq or diploma, as they have experience in make up and skin care. It isnt usially essential but it is what they look for. I would recommend in getting a part time job in boots or something and work on the fragrance just to get your foot in the door. How hard is it to get a make up counter job?

How high can make-up be heated before it spoils?

I left my make-up bag on the radiator for a bit and I was wondering if the make-up would still be OK to use. In the bag were eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, foundation, concealer, lipstick. Thanks a lotHow high can make-up be heated before it spoils?
I don't think there's a specific temperature that will spoil makeup, really, it might just melt it an alter the consistency...I'd check anything that was in 'stick' form...if it was left there long enough, it'll be a melted mess.

The shadow, as long as it was powder, should be okay, the mascara should be alright too (after an hour or so), the foundation should be okay if it was powder, (hopefully it wasn't a stick), and the so long as the concealer wasn't a stick, either, it should be alright.

The liner and lipstick are probably the only things really affected. You can totally melt down the lipstick into another lipgloss-jar or something like that and use it from there...not sure how you should go about re-using the liner.

    Anywho, best of luck.

How do i use Sunscreen along with make up in summer?

I have indian skin and want to be protected using Sunscreen. But how do i apply make up after it? please give me detailed answers. How do i use Sunscreen along with make up in summer?
first you need to put your sunscreen on about 15 minutes before you apply make up.

in order to let your skin absorb it.

    then apply make up normally

make sure you buy a non greasy sunscreen.

there is also some great foundations out there that come with spf 15 protection, i've got a liquid to powder one by revlon which is really goodHow do i use Sunscreen along with make up in summer?
use make up base and most are with sun protection, those you see in magazines that introduce base with nude colour, green or purple that give your skin different effect.

try purple as it give your skin natural glow even is on dark skin. it is make up base with suncreen so you dont have to worry much the cream will cause much problem to your make up step then.

just apply foundation after the base. great complexion you will have then =)
    most foundations have sunscreen already

hey, as long as you think your beautiful i gaurentee that thats whats im gonna think.

i want a girl who makes me feel that im lucky to be with her. if you could find yourself beautiful without make up im there. i dont care, even if shes prettyer cause i'd love you. end....
I really like the mineral makeup from loreal or physicians formula but I also really like Sally Hanson spray on foundation in no color, it looks really natural and all I have to do after cleaning my face and hands is spray a layer over my hands and rub all over my face until it's blended in. I also love neutrogena's clean mascara-(the one that is shown applied on a feather that you can wear for a day or two). Lipstick is the difficult part, I usually just pick a bold color I like, apply it and then wipe it all off-(it gives lips a stain of color) then I apply some chapstick.
    minimalist look:

light foundation, a bit bronze for the summer healthy glow, moisturizing lip gloss. a touch of eye liner (here, you could play around, outer corner, inter corner, ...remember to enhance your eye shape only, not sth dramatic)
revlon makes color palettes especially for eye colors and/or skin tones. it's in a black case. colorstay 12 hour eye shadow quad.
    not alot of eyeliner.

    eye shawdow:

    earth tones:

browns, light brown, pretty muh all shades, dark earthy greens, tan

we cant really give u specific names but i think u get what i mean

What brand of make-up do celebrities wear most?

What brand of make-up do celebrities wear most? MAC? Chanel? Dior? What else? When celebrities get their make-up done, is it mostly airbrushed? Thanks! What brand of make-up do celebrities wear most?
Celebrities wear whatever they get for free. Cosmetics companies send them free stuff all the time hoping that they'll mention it in an interview or be asked what they're wearing and talk about how much they love it. When celebrities are seen in a photo shoot or an event, their makeup was applied by a professional, and the professional used the products they like, not the products the celebrity likes. Many makeup artists use an airbrush foundation. It depends on the look they're going for. An average celebrity makeup application takes two hours, and then expert lighting is applied to their face. It's all an image, not reality. Dior Show mascara is very good and I love their lipglosses, MAC products are very good and reasonably priced, and I would never wear Chanel because it's ridiculously priced. One blush is $50.00, and that's just nonsense. Remember, there are only so many products that go into creating makeup, and there comes a point where you're paying for packaging, brand name or both, not the actual performance of the product. What brand of make-up do celebrities wear most?
They'll be doing facial care with Kiehl's , foundations from Laura Mercier, and sometimes concealer from Kryolan's Dermacolor palette or Viseart, Fast Lash for Mascara.

They pick what they learn from their makeup artists. In turn, professional makeup artists pick up things from many sources. Sometimes they purchase them, and sometimes a brand will donate products in exchange for product placement and/or credit (like the credits that roll at the end of a movie, or the caption of a magazine promo). These are some of the brands to expect:

    Shu Uemura/Chanel/Cargo/Urban Decay/MAC/Bobbi Brown/Dior/LORAC/Benefit/Trish McEvoy

but also expect use of drugstore items: Maybelline, L'Oreal, Almay, Vaseline

A great website is Makeup411.com. Makeup 411 gives you detailed breakdowns. The breakdowns have pictures and tell you what brand, color, and techniques are used to create the actor's specific look. They also have a few interviews, detailed makeup descriptions, and a neat section under expert tips that gives you inexpensive alternatives to pricey makeup.

Many celebrities have professional make-up crews to do their makeup for them.

I do not think its mostly airbrushed.

On a daily basis, I think they are very similar to us. Of course they dont have their makeup professionally dont everyday.

For award ceremonies, premiers, ect. They always have makeup professionally done.

Im pretty sure that Barrym is deffinately used a lot.

    I would also think MAC.

Im not quite sure of Dior.

  • What is it like to be a make up artist for MAC?

Hi- I am currently a college student working in retail and I love cosmetics- having studied art, I see cosmetics as another art medium that a person can use to express themselves. So, i was in the mall and passed the MAC counter the other day and it sparked my interest. So does anyone know what it is like to work the counter for MAC and be a makeup artist ? How do get that job ? What do you get paid ? What are your advice for getting and KEEPING the job ? What are some of the pros and cons ?

While I am asking about MAC specifically, I am open to any responses from anyone who works at any other beauty counters ( Lancome, Clinique, etc.)

A Grateful thanks to anyone who responds !What is it like to be a make up artist for MAC?
Someone just answered this question, try looking up MAC in search for questions, look through what people have said.

I used to work the Clarins/Chanel counter - it used to be a very selective process and was like the one intimidating job that you couldn't just get in the mall - I don't know how it is anymore? The difference with the counters is that you don't have to be a makeup artist to work there but someone said that at MAC, it's even harder and you have to be able to create a look for them for the interview kinda thing. I'd start practicing and preparing. What is it like to be a make up artist for MAC?
go to a M.A.C. counter and ask one.

What kind of make up is attractive?

I used to wear make up, but then I got pretty enough to not wear make up, and now I definitely need to start wearing it again. Haha, so what make up looks the best without looking over the top? What kind of make up is attractive?
Natural looking make-up. A little eyeliner or mascara, some lip gloss, or concealer and foundation if you tend to have an uneven skin tone. The key to good makeup is to make it look like you're not wearing any at all. What kind of make up is attractive?
Natural looking makeup that enhances your features.

If you have big eyes, emphasize them with black/brown eyeliner - I personally have medium-sized eyes, and instead of lining my eyes the whole way, I only line my top lash line and it makes my eyes look pretty big.

If you have nice shaped lips, wear a nice shade of lipgloss (peach, pink, nothing over the top)

If you're pale, add a little pink blush (or peach depending on your natural blush) to make your face glow

Mascara's a given for me, but if you have thick, curly lashes, there's no need.

If you haven't worn makeup for a long time and don't seem to need it, I think you can do without it.

If your skin's perfect, DON'T wear foundation (a tinted moisturizer is okay if you really think you need a bit of coverage), let your skin breath =]

    Hope this helps
I like to wear foundation to make perfect my complexion - make sure your color matches! Then I like to have fun with my eyes with eyeliner, mascara, and sometimes shadow. I wear clear lipgloss because you can't be dramatic with both your eyes and lips or you'll look way overdone for everyday life. If you wear it like this, people will definitely be able to tell you have it on, but that's the point in this case. Makeup can be used simply to hide imperfections or to enhance what you already have. Just trust your instincts when you look in the mirror. If you think you look like a clown, then you probably do. By the way, a pretty face never really goes away, so I bet you're still much prettier than you think you are. : )
Concealer for an uneven skin tone.

Mascara for sure and maybe some brown eyeliner and brown eyeshadow in the crease of your eye.

If you do your eyes you should do you lips to keep your face balanced. Go for a sheer pink gloss. Its easy to apply and it looks and feels natural.

    Good luck :)
Do the natural look and go Neutrogena...it's better for your skin and won't clog your pores; so that means it will help with breakouts. Apply mineral foundation, mascara, and bronzer/blush and you'll be good. Maybe also a natural lip gloss shade.
A loose or pressed powder, with just a bit of blush to add color.

Then a darkbrown eyeliner with black mascara :) It should help you feel pretty and more confident, but its not overly dramatic and natural enough:)

    Hope this helped :)
go natural, its harder to make it look like your wearing nothing then to look like your wearing everything! but i always think natural is the best way to go.
The natural look looks the best :)

What kind of make up would look good on me?

I'm pale with brown eyes, brown hair with red high lights, freckles, CURLY hair. I need some make up ideas. Something light and not really noticable. What kind of make up would look good on me?
If you want to add a little color, then try a lightly-tinted foundation that is close in color to your skin color, but perhaps a bit darker. Not too much darker, 'tho. Blush could be either gel, cream, or powder, but again go easy (no clown cheeks, please!)...a peachy color would be nice with your hair/eyes.

Eye shadows: no brown, that's not enough of a contrast. Light grays, greens, peaches, lavenders.

Mascara: brown. Black would be too harsh.

Lip gloss in a peachy shade, or brownish/beige.

I'm sure you'll find something that works. What kind of make up would look good on me?
a little bit of eye liner (brown)

    light pink color for lips

hey make it look natural what ever you do and if you are pale then use powder. only clear lipgloss, and some mascara, and wear cute out fits
    earth tones
Blue or purple eyeshadow.Always black mascara.Light pink or ginger lipstick.Put it all on lightly.
None sweetie. Make up is for people who are vain and brainless. It is not good for your skin and I would venture to guess you are a beautiful young women to begin with. So why waste the money and the hours.

Niether my wife nor either of my daughters use makeup and they are just a beautiful as can be.
Au natural you sound gorgeous don't cover your natural beauty that's for ugly girls

How can A MAKE UP LAST IN MY FACE FOR MANY HOURS?How can a make-up last for hours in my face?
well, i don't really know whether you mean face makeup or eye makeup

for face makeup: use Rimmel lasting finish liquid foundation (its cheap, works great, and last forever)

    REVIEW OF THIS FOUNDATION: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWsPzbrmg…

for eye makeup: use revlon colorstay eyeliners, those are supposed to stay really well, and to make your eyeshadow stay, use an eyeshadow base (cheap brand- loreal decrease, high end brand- urban decay primer potion)How can a make-up last for hours in my face?
Make sure you use good make up because it tends to stay on better. Use a primer too, I use Becca Mineral Primer SPF 30 and I love it, it keeps my make up looking great all day, provides a good base, it has the sun protection and it also is moisturising.

If you were moisturising and putting make up on that could also be another reason. I would recommend not using a moisturiser first, but using a moisturising primer.

Also if you have oily skin, use a foundation and/or powder specifically for oily skin.
I have the same problem! You should wash and moisturize your face with oil free products before applying make up. Also, try to use a foundation primer before applying make up, it helps keep it on longer. After you're done putting on all your make up, use a translucent powder to ';set'; your make up :)
Always wait at least ten mins after moisturizing before you apply foundation, otherwise it'll slide right off within 30 minutes.

Try a primer, such as Smashbox or Eve Pearl.

Always set your foundation with a loose powder and keep a compact in your purse for touch ups.

Also make sure you're using good quality brands.

    Ry.
i take it you have oily skin and that is y the make up is just sliding off your face. just use a toner and then a non-oil moisturizer . follow with a foundation primer. also if you use a good brand of make up it works wonders. if you'd like suggestions feel free to ask.
Make sure your face is mositurized and use a foundation primer. Smashbox has really good primers. You can find them at Sephora, ULTA or Macy's :]
    use a foundation primer!!!!!

you can try to stop using cheap/pharmacy products (if you do)...I find that happens to me if I use cheap products....anyway they could more likely damage your skin because of the chemicals used!!
    primer primer primers!

urban decay has a good primer for your

How do you make up a short story?

For my Language Arts class, I need to make up a story, write it (a page long) and read it to the class. I have no idea what I am going to write, so can you help me with some ideas and such? Thank you!How do you make up a short story?
Sketch the details of your main potential characters start with looks, mannerisms, background, etc. Write the details down - or even draw them if you are a visual person.

Then take your main character or characters and imagine them in some new odd/out of the ordinary (out of your current work's context) places or scenarios 鈥?anything goes! Write down ideas on what would have to happen to your type of character or how they would react to the scenario you placed them in.

This may seem futile, but it will help you flesh out your characters further and give you insight into what you may want to happen to this type of character in a potential story. You may even come up with multiple story lines and can see if one of them just seems to be the best or easiest to continue

Strong well-crafted main characters can inspire readers to love your story as well as drive you to write a great story for these imagined beings to be in! :-)

This should get you going. Then you may want to write an outline of you story (a kind of synopsis).

MAKE SURE YOUR OUTLINE HAS A STRONG ENDING.

I have heard that John Irving writes his endings first, down to the last line, and works backwards. The idea of the outline is to give you goals as you proceed. Writing the ending first may give you the ';spark'; you now need.

How do you make up a short story?
Think about something that has happened in your life recently, something that was meaningful to you, something that was funny, sad, or otherwise caused emotion, or something from your family life or school life. Add details to the event, either real ones or ones that you imagine, and go from there. Just start writing, not worrying about how long it needs to be. If you finish and it is too long, you can edit, and if it is not long enough, you can add more details.
