Where does a mineral rock for mineral make-up come from?

I know that mineral make-up comes from a pulverizied mineral rock but was does the mineral rock come from, like where do you find these rocks? Is it the same as going outside and finding rocks then pulverizing them yourself. I would think that these rocks are toxic.Where does a mineral rock for mineral make-up come from?

Almost all makeup has some form of mineral in it. Micas are used to make shimmer in makeup. Talc and clay minerals are often used as bases in a lot of makeup, but stay away from these as they can clog pores.





Most makeup companies wont display what kind of minerals they are using, but if you have sensitive skin or skin that is prone to breakouts, be sure to get makeup that is Talc free.





The new mineral make-up craze is pretty much just another way for beauty companies to make money which is why these products are generally so expensive, but in most cases they are better for your skin than the oils added to other kinds of makeup
