Any advice for a male possibly selling make up w inbound sales?

Any advice for a male possibly selling make up through an inbound customer service /sales line ?

My call center is switching from a cell phone client to a make up client .Any advice for a male possibly selling make up w inbound sales?
I sold magazines through an outbound sales line, but I figure this can't be much different. If you can find the book Color Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson, that should help you figure out the right makeup for the right customer.Any advice for a male possibly selling make up w inbound sales?
Well that would depend. Does your current job require you to know all about the cell phones that you sell, or do you merely collect the financial information? If you are going to be expected to know all kinds of information about the makeup that your company is selling, I'd suggest brushing up on your makeup knowledge now. If you'll only be collecting financial and credit card info, you should be fine.

Perhaps you could be asked to be transferred to another part of your company, where you wouldn't actually have to take calls? If you swing it right you might could end up being a manager or supervisor...

Other than that, I don't really know. I've never had to deal with a problem even remotely similar to this.
Honey, sales is sales no matter what you're selling! Product knowledge is a must for sure. Keep in mind that women will use phrases like 'peachy color' or 'bisque', lol, so listen closely. They are looking for something to make them feel beautiful. You are the substitute friend at the make-up counter at the mall telling them 'Oh yes, that's a perfect combination for your skin type'. I'm sure your company will offer a training session. Funny, I usually get a guy when I call Victoira's Secret to place an order!
